G2 gear oil wayyyyy overfull Options

I have a 1986 g2 yamaha golfcart and gear was coming out the breather tube. I just got this cart a few months back. I pulled the check oil level on tranny and out came 2+ litres. W O W. I pulled the drain on the bottom of gearcase and out came about half a litre roughly.. Can anyone please tell me the corret amount of gear oil to put back in?? Thanks alot
